Curriculum Manager Workflow

As a Curriculum Manager, you’re responsible for the Library: all the assessments, lesson plans, and activities Tutors and students use in sessions.

  1. Editing the Library - creating, editing, and publishing Library content.
  2. Excluding Assessments From Lesson Recommendations - keeping an Assessment from influencing what gets recommended next.

Editing the Library

You can add, edit, publish, reorder, and delete Levels, Lessons, and Lesson Resources right in the Library’s Edit Mode. To get there, you’ll need both the Tutor Manager and Curriculum Manager roles - without the Curriculum Manager role, the Library just shows a read-only view with no editing tools. A Lesson Resource can be a Lesson Plan, Game, Teaching Slides, Language Resource, Reading Passage, or Activity.

Excluding Assessments From Lesson Recommendations

Not every Assessment should influence what lesson a student gets recommended next. When you’re adding or editing an Assessment, check “Exclude From Lesson Recommendations” and that Assessment still runs as normal, but its results won’t be used to generate Building Block or Starting Lesson recommendations. It’s unchecked by default, and any change takes effect as soon as you save.
